Broke is just 2 hours from central Sydney with a choice of the F3 freeway or a more scenic route along the Wollombi Road.

If you are traveling from the West of Sydney, Broke is 13 kilometers off the Putty Road on the southern side of Singleton.

Traveling From Sydney Via Newcastle Freeway/Highway 1:

Join the Newcastle Freeway (also marked Highway 1) at Wahroonga and take the Vineyards/Cessnock exit. Follow the signs to Cessnock along Route 82. At the end of Cessnock main street follow Vineyard signs along Allandale Road towards Branxton.

After 7 kms turn left into Broke Road. 3.7kms along Broke Road turn left into McDonalds Road and then immediately right to stay on Broke Road. Follow Broke Road past Harrigan’s Irish Pub, Tyrrell’s Vineyard then Oakvale Winery and continue straight ahead for 15 kms.

At the ‘T’ intersection in Broke turn right and after 250 metes turn left into Milbrodale Road. You will cross the Wollombi Brook and pass Tinonee and Nightingales on the right and Margan on the left, turn right into Hill Street (just after the 80km sign).Pemberley Grange Hunter Valley Getaway is 1.3km up the hill on the right.

Traveling From Sydney Via Wollombi – Very Scenic:

As above join the Newcastle Freeway (also market Highway 1) at Wahroonga but take the exit for Peats Ridge (route 33 – next exit after Mt White). Follow the signs for Wollombi. You will travel along the old Pacific Highway for approx 15kms and then veer left to Wollombi. The road follows the Old Convict Trail from Bucketty and winds through the valley, past Murrays Run and Laguna before arriving at Wollombi.

Continue straight ahead at the Wollombi Tavern – the road has a small section of dirt (approx 600mtrs) just outside Wollombi but improves shortly after. Continue along the Wollombi road for a further 30kms until you reach Broke.

After passing the Broke General Store on your right, turn left almost immediately onto Milbrodale Road. You will cross the Wollombi Brook and pass Tinonee and Nightingales on the right and Margan on the left, turn right into Hill Street (just after the 80km sign). Pemberley Grange is 1.3km up the hill on the right.

Travelling from Windsor on the Putty Road:

From Windsor take route 69 along the Putty Road and follow the signs to Singleton. The turnoff to Broke is at Milbrodale Road (approx 145kms from Windsor). Turn right onto Milbrodale Road and Hill Street is 12kms from the turnoff. Turn left and Pemberley Grange is 1.3km up the hill on the right.

Travelling from the Pacific Highway/Hexham:

After crossing the Hunter River at Hexham turn right towards Sydney and Maitland and follow the signs to Maitland. You will now be on the New England Highway. Pass through Maitland, Rutherford, Lochinvar and Branxton. Approx 8-10kms after Branxton turn left at Hermitage Road (large sign ‘To the Vineyards’). Follow Hermitage Road to the end and turn right towards Broke – 15kms. At the ‘T’ intersection in Broke turn right and after 250mtrs turn left into Milbrodale road. You will cross the Wollombi Brook and pass Tinonee and Nightingales on the right and Margan on the left, turn right into Hill Street (just after the 80km sign). Pemberley Grange is 1.3km up the hill on the right.

Travelling From Singleton off the New England Highway from the North:

After entering Singleton pass over the Hunter River and continue along the Highway (George Street) and turn right at the 2nd set of traffic lights – York Street (McDonalds is on the left hand corner). Follow York Street to the end (about 1km) and then turn left. Follow the road (Putty Road) for 8kms and turn left to Broke – 15kms.

When entering Broke you will pass two churches on the left (after about 1km) – turn right just after the 2nd church onto Milbrodale Road. You will cross the Wollombi Brook and pass Tinonee and Nightingales vineyards on the right and Margan vineyard on the left, turn right into Hill Street (just after the 80km sign). Pemberley Grange is 1.3km up the hill on the right.
